Codrina-Laura IONIŢĂ, PhD Professor
Codrina-Laura IONIŢĂ is a painter and Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Decorative Arts and Design, at the University of Arts “George Enescu”, Iaşi, Romania. She graduated Faculty of Fine Arts, Decorative Arts and Design, at the University of Arts “George Enescu” (1998) and Faculty of Philosophy, at the “Al.I.Cuza” University (2004). She post graduated Advanced Studies at the University of Arts “George Enescu” (2002), and she got a DEA Master at University de Bourgogne, Dijon, France (2003). Since 2006, she is Dr. in Philosophy, with a thesis about Immanence and Transcendence in Abstract Art of 20th Century, for which she received The Best Doctoral Thesis Award - University de Bourgogne, Dijon, France & “Al.I.Cuza” University, Iaşi, Romania (2007).
She is founder of the Research Center in Aesthetics and Artistic Creation of “George Enescu” University of Arts, and the editor-in-chief of the international journal Anastasis. Research in Medieval Culture and Art. Also, she is founder and president of “Anamnesis” Cultural Association. She is the author of many studies and articles published in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Dijon, Iaşi, Kishinev, Lyon. Her main books are: Invizibilul in arta abstracta a secolului XX / The Invisible in Abstract Art of 20th Century (2004) and Simboluri ale artei medievale / Symbols of Mediaeval Art (2009), Imanență și transcendență în arta abstractă/ Immanence and Transcendence in Abstract Art (2011).
Her paintings were presented in Personal Exhibitions (Braila, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Dreux, Iaşi, Paris, Suceava, Vaslui) and in the framework of some Group Painting Exhibitions (in Romania and abroad).
She has been awarded by: Silver Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva (2005); “Honor Certificate” of the National Symposium “The Literature and the Other Arts” (2009); “Honor Medal”, The International Association of Medicine and Travel “Prof.Dr.Doc. Ernest M.Ungureanu” (2009).
