Melentina TOMA

      Melentina TOMA is Associate Professor at Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi, Romania.
      She graduated Faculty of History and Philosophy, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași (1980) and she received her PhD with a thesis in logic, at the same University. She teaches: Logic; Didactic of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Writing Techniques. Founder member and secretary of “Ştefan Lupaşcu” International Foundation for Science and Culture; founder member of “Ernest Stere” Philosophical Society; member of The French Language Association of Philosophy in Romania.
      She is the author of several books: Erorile de argumentare în perspectiva unei tipologii semiotice / Reasoning Errors within a Semiotic Typology, “Ştefan Lupaşcu” Press, Iași (2004); Logică şi argumentare. Elemente de didactică aplicată / Logic and Reasoning. Elements of Applied Didactic, Junimea Press, Iași (2005); Perspective semio-logice ale situației didactice / Semio-Logical Perspectives of Didactic Situation, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University Publishing House, Iași (2012); Raționamentul logic / Logical Reasoning, Hamangiu Press, Bucharest (2017), the 3rd revised edition (2019).
      She edited the book Paradigma situaţională în cîmpul socio-umanului / Situational Paradigm in Human and Social Territory, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University Publishing House (2009).
      She published many studies and articles in professional journals and she attended significant national and international Conferences of Philosophy and Educational Sciences.
