Marius CHELARU

       Marius CHELARU is a writer, literary critic, interpreter and editor at “Poezia” Review, Iaşi, Romania.
       He graduated the Faculty of Economic Sciences, “Al.I.Cuza” University (1990). He is Editor in Chief of Poezia; Deputy Editor in Chief of Convorbiri Literare / Literary Conversations and of Carmina Balcanica: Review of South-East European Spirituality and Culture.
      He is founder of Kadō, Calea Poeziei / Kadō, the Poetry Path: Review of Euro-Asiatic Poetry, Poetical Culture and Spirituality; co-founder of Carmina Balcanica: Review of South-East European Spirituality and Culture, and of Doina. Revue de Littérature, Civilisation et Culture Universelle (bilingue, franco-roumaine, Paris).
      He is the author of many books of poems, essays, prose, literary critique and translations, which are published in Romania and abroad (in Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Egypt, Germany, Holland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Paraguay, Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Switzerland, Syria, USA, Turkey). Some of his personal volumes he has written in more than twenty foreign languages. Part of his writings is translated in more than thirty languages.
     He is member of many cultural associations: The Writers’ Union of Romania; The Professional Journalists’ Union of Romania; “Junimea Club” of Iaşi; Japan Universal Poetry Association; Romanian Society of Haiku, Bucharest; The World Haiku Association of Japan, etc. He is co-worker member of “Association des Ecrivains de Langue Roumaine du Quebec” and honorary member of Foundation “Maison Naaman pour la Culture”. He has received many awards for his achievements over the years.
